One of our latest projects has been an urban regeneration masterplan for part of central Skövde where Volvo
Powertrain is located.
Industrial activity first started on the site in 1868 and the site has a clear industrial character today. The aim of the
work was to propose ways for how the site could be more effectively integrated with the city centre and to identify
place identity aspects that could be used in the future development of the site. The masterplan work included new
public realm, private realm, pedestrian links, street design, volume studies, proposed transformation of existing
building use and densification. The work was carried out in a team with planning architects from Metria. The client
was Skövde kommun and the work was carried out in cooperation with Volvo.
